David Plimmer
I grew up in Shaftesbury. A Saxon Hilltop town. Actually it is a lot older, it has a Neolithic settlement on its Western escarpment called Castle Hill. Imagine growing up in area surrounded by history and legends of King Arthur, King Alfred, King Edward, who was murdered on his way to Shaftesbury and much, much more.
My parents loved sacred spaces and sacred places. Mum would get a picnic ready, Dad would bundle us all in the car and we would head off to some hill fort in Dorset or Wiltshire. This was in the 1950’s when you could drive your car into Stonehenge, park by the stones joined one or two other families or curious individuals.
Mum ceremoniously spread out the blue chequered Irish Linen table cloth, much to Dads delight. My sister would help Mum and Dad whilst my Brother and I climbed on the Stones. What a different world we live in now…
So from an early age I had an interest in Sacred Places and to this day still feel moved to go to such points of cosmic power.
This present phase as a Grid Worker ramped up in 1988 when invited to join a group of planetary healers. I did not have a clue what this was all about, but there was no doubt in my mind that this was where I was meant to be at that time.
It was a group of very powerful individuals and I felt blessed and honoured to be a part of this work. Sadly the core group broke and for me it lost its magic. After this turn of events I missed it greatly. In an effort to continue with this specific way of working I joined other groups, but it was not the same. So I headed out on my own.
Tim Dunham
Tim is an all-round sort of man. He can turn his hand to most things from mending his bike, building work and creating websites. In fact Tim built this one and we have only just started.
Tim is at home on the grid. He feels energy, the seasons, the weather and is very intuitive to work with. Somehow Tim just gets it.
He is passionate about self-development, learning new ways of being, is actively working on his spiritual path through meditation and is part of a spiritual development group.

My first experience of working on the Grid was with David. I held a Creative residency (our focus for creating was to explore themes around ‘Celebrate the Land’) in Wales and I invited David to work with us. We explored how to raise land vibrations to form healing, creative and safe spaces to support our practice; how to shift energy and connect with the subtle nature of the world around us.
As an artist I’m inspired by the elements earth, air, fire and water; their interactions with each other, the clashes and collaborations with the manmade world and works are about their role in my exploration of the unity between spirit and matter.
My choice of materials is often key to understanding the focus of works; how materials are gathered and prepared can itself change initial desired outcomes. For example using hand tools when working with green wood enables me to either clash or collaborate with the material, to inflict my desire or to feel the true nature of the piece. http://www.lizzymooney.co.uk/
In my view everything is connected and I make as an intuitive and spontaneous response to the world around me. If away from the workshop for a long stretch often my hands get itchy and my fingers wiggle without me realising; something is ready to pop out. I make both as an experience or process and I create to experience outcomes myself as much as for others.
I hope in the future to work more closely with David, to explore the depth of our connection to The Grid and how this energy is channelled within our lives and creative processes.
